Often referred to as “Botox” which is the popular brand name drug made from Botulinum Toxin. Botox works by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles, which helps temporarily paralyzes or weakens the muscles in the injected area.
Botox is commonly used cosmetically to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and medically to treat conditions such as chronic migraines, excessive sweating, etc.
The effects of this treatment will typically last anywhere from 3-6 months.
